I had an amazing experience last night. One of my friends (ODP editor beebware) gave his life to Jesus! I am sooo happy for him! It's made even better by the fact that I'll be meeting up with him and a whole load of other ODP editors on the 18th at Birmingham... I can't wait to see him. :)
In his own words, 'I just feel like cursing myself for being so blind - but "none are as blind as those who do not want to see". God was there all along and I just never noticed....I AM SORRY GOD.... and thank you for just being there.'
But here's a freaky thing. Some of you may have noticed that I no longer stay up late at night - this is because I realised it was wrong, and I made a promise to God that I wouldn't do it again, unless it was His will.
But last night, I felt that God was telling me to go downstairs. I knew this was different because normally I get a strong feeling not to go down. However, God was definitely telling me to go down that night. At the time, I didn't know why - but while I was downstairs, I started chatting with Beebs, and had a long conversation about Christianity. And shortly before 1:00am on May 14th, he became a Christian. :-D Praise the Lord!
Honestly, that was a truly awesome experience, even for me - seeing first-hand how people can come to know God. I'll definitely be keeping Beebs in my prayers, and if you're a Christian and reading this, I'd ask if you could, too. I'm probably gonna keep in close contact with him from now on, so please pray for me as well.
Lord, thank you so, so much for showing Beebs Your love last night. I pray that he will grow in his faith and come to know and love You even more than he's ever done before. Thank you, Lord Jesus! :) Amen.
