Well, today is GIF Liberation Day, the day on which US Patent 4,558,302 expires.
While definitely a cause for celebration, not everybody seems to realise that this is only in the US. Patents on LZW are still in force in other countries, according to the Burn All GIFs site. Not only that, but a lot of sites use PNG files now anyway, because of its better compression.
Still, it's an occasion. Break out the champagne!

Well, Krissy is doing it, and a lot of other people are too, so I guess I should do the 5,000 question survey as well.
I'm not quite sure how I'll do this, but I've done the first 10 questions, so here they are... I'll probably post in batches of 10 or 50, depending on my mood at the time...

Yes, yes, I know, this post is late, but I've been quite busy and stuff. Pictured here is another fansign I received from Krissy some time ago and which I never got round to posting. Sorry, Krissy! In other news, I am now 21. Oh yes. Of course, here in the UK 21 doesn't mean that much any more. Everything's either 16, 17 or 18, AFAIK. But hey, birthdays are always cool. :)
I'm also one of the new editors for Static Line, which I've briefly mentioned before.
I'm also developing the online version of The RinkChat Card Game, although I've been slacking a bit recently - I really should get down to it.
I think that's all for the moment. I'll try and see if I can update a bit more frequently from now on. :)
